Mistletoe Ex Writer Letter
Things I love, in general: Aliens made us do it, amazing hair, angst, animal sidekicks/pets, antisocial geniuses, apocalypses, bi- or pansexuality, bittersweet endings, blood, boys in eyeliner, chaotic neutral or similar characters, chocolate, comedy, cooking, dark themes, death, dragons, drag queens, dress uniforms/suiting up, double agents, dub-con, dystopias, established pairs bringing in a mutual third, evil cliffhanger endings, femslash, fluff, found families, geekboys, geekery, geekgirls, gen, glasses (and/or glasses!kink), goddesses/gods, goth or punk AUs, happy endings, het, hijinks, hurt/comfort, illness, insanity, kitties, meta, OT3s, ploty things, random little life/death snippets, shenanigans, shiny things, slash, snark, sneaking, sparkly things, spies, spunky chicks, squee, team-as-family, tomboys, tough-on-the-outside bishies, tricks and tricksters, unhappy endings, whump… and more, I'm sure.
Things I dislike, in general: 2nd Person POV, animal cruelty, character bashing, coprophilia/watersports, COVID, explicit sex scenes, glorified gay bashing, infidelity, issuefic**, non-con, politics, pwp
** "issuefic" has a variety of meanings. My meaning: a story where the fact that something could be an issue is the focus. For example, if I ask for slash A/B, and they are in the military, a story about how they can't be out as gay because military - that's issuefic. If chara C is ace, a story about how her mother thinks that ace is a made up thing, or that gays should burn in hell - that's issuefic. They can be gay and fix the spaceship! Or they can be ace and win the spelling bee! Just, I don't want the story to be about how *whatever* is problematic or hard or dangerous in the wider sociopolitical context. I have real life for that. I hope that makes sense, and if you have any questions, please feel free to have the mods ask me for clarification.
Other things, in general: For canons where we know the characters as children, please age them to at least 15 before putting them in romantic relationships. Thank you!

Request Fandom 1: Dragonriders of Pern – Anne McCaffrey
F'lon/Robinton, Robinton/Silvina
Rob/Silvina: I'd love something set during Masterharper. Rob at the Hall, grown up, settling into his place, and connecting with Silvina? Handwaving his placement at Tillek so that he was closer to home and connected with her instead of Kasia? Or something set later, during Menolly's books. The comfortable familiarity of old friends/lovers running the Hall and taking care of each other. If set later, give Silvina a female fire lizard and have Zair fly her?
Rob/F'lon: Rob impresses AU? If not, then how do they connect together once they are teens/young men? Does Rob come to Benden, or does F'lon find him at the Hall or on assignment? Rocks fall, trapping them somewhere when Simanith rises? Or, totally handwave AU (F'lon recovery h/c?), and F'lon makes it to the modern era. Fire lizards and AIVIS and space oh my?
Either: give the other a female fire lizard and have Zair fly her? H/C - Rob works himself to exhaustion as his mother used to, and the other has to take care of him?
More Details: Pretty much I always ask for Harpers, because the world just needs more Harper-fic. I love music but don't know much technical about it, so feel free to handwave.
Request Fandom 2: Harry Potter - J. K. Rowling
Luna Lovegood/Ginny Weasley, Neville Longbottom/Luna Lovegood, Luna Lovegood/Harry Potter
I would just love for Luna to find someone who treated her well, and understood the brilliant girl hiding behind the airiness. She's a Ravenclaw for a reason, and she brings a unique point of view that Harry and Neville, in particular, could benefit from. With Ginny and her growing up together, the potential is great to reunite and bond over less-than-ideal-Hogwarts-experiences.
Specific Prompts: finding out how Luna is being treated and going off on her House, sharing a quiet moment on the grounds/by the greenhouses, visiting the Thestrals, discovering one of her creatures, puttering around their cottage with their gardens/greenhouses/creatures, pickup!quidditch match among friends, or one-on-one as she helps her player!partner train?
More Details: I have read many a fic where Luna has some touch of the seer about her, whether that is predictions, seeing auras, or something else. Feel free to add your headcanon for this here! I am down for whatever kind of power you give her.

Request Fandom 3: Knives Out (2019)
Marta Cabrera/Ransom Drysdale
I love the juxtaposition of the calm sweater!bean with the smug sociopath for Ransom: please don't erase his darker side. Marta being tangled in his web is brilliant. I'd love it if you could handwave how quickly the case is solved, from that moment Ransom helps Marta escape the family and they go to the diner. What if they need to keep together longer? Maybe they successfully escape the police after the fire? Roadtrip? Seducing her for information? Some kind of mindgame?
Marta was Harlan's confidant, so she knows the family's secrets, and especially Ransom's, but maybe can't help falling for them? And Harlan said Ransom was like him - does that entice her? Maybe they play Go together? He does not seem the type to handle being beaten very well.
More Details: I love villains, and Ransom is a delightful one! Him reveling in his villainy and/or plan would be wonderful. So would the enemies-to-lovers trope in this instance. Tropey h/c would also delight. (Rocks fall, and they are trapped together for some time? He is wounded and she must care for him because of her oath, despite her own feelings? The above leading to unwitting nurse/patient enemies-to-lovers?)

Carol Danvers/Maria Rambeau, Clint Barton/Natasha Romanov, James "Bucky" Barnes/Steve Rogers
Carol/Maria: recovering her memory, happy reunited family with Monica, happy family times in the past
Nat/Clint: Recovering from brainwashing (scepter, scarlet witch, other), Nat blowing off steam after a day undercover with Tony in IM2
Bucky/Steve: Pre-canon Bucky taking care of Steve after getting his butt kicked, Caring for each other after the (first) escape from Schmidt in TFA
If you think of Carol's amnesia like brainwashing, then recovery from brainwashing is something I like across the board with these couples. Angst and reassurances and huddling cozy blankets on the couch

Request Fandom 5: Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Faith Lehane/Buffy Summers
Their canon relationship is so tangled, and something equally dark and tangled would be lovely. Kind of like my Ransom prompt, Faith has a dark side, and even when she returns and is part of the gang in S7, that undercurrent is there. Something dark and dub during Faith's 'bad' years? Buffy angsting over Faith's turn and the loss of her love? S7+ some demon brings that side out of Faith again? Something dealing with the "Feels like it was made for me, guess that mean's it is yours" duality of being the second slayer?

Ravi Chakrabarti/Liv Moore
I love the friendship and loyalty between these two. The way he figures out her secret, but then geeks out about it. The way they try to science the shit out of zombieism. The playful banter about brains and bodies and video games and pop culture and whatever. There is so much to build a relationship from.
Specific Prompts: Working late in the lab, experiment gone wrong (pheromones made them do it?) fluffy fix-it cure!fic? Emotional h/c of Liv dealing with zombism? Goofy h/c of Ravi having the worst papercut *ever* and moaning about it nonstop? Delving darker, Liv losing control while in full on zombie mode and shredding Ravi and dealing with the emotional fallout? A+
