** "issuefic" has a variety of meanings. My meaning: a story where the fact that something could be an issue is the focus. For example, if I ask for slash A/B, and they are in the military, a story about how they can't be out as gay because military - that's issuefic. If chara C is ace, a story about how her mother thinks that ace is a made up thing, or that gays should burn in hell - that's issuefic. They can be gay and fix the spaceship! Or they can be ace and win the spelling bee! Just, I don't want the story to be about how *whatever* is problematic or hard or dangerous in the wider sociopolitical context. I have real life for that. I hope that makes sense, and if you have any questions, please feel free to have the mods ask me for clarification.
Other things, in general:
- For canons where we know the characters as children, please age them to at least 15 before putting them in romantic relationships
- Feel free to treat my character matching as "or" not "and" — as long as one of my faves is there, I'll be happy!

I love badass Serena Williams becoming even more badass as an actual iconic super hero, and then taking down a mall full of evil robots in the process. I'd love some backstory of how we got to this moment, or something actiony depicting the triumphant battles that day. Maybe something post-canon as she goes on to live as a superhero. Does she still compete in tennis? Does she have to fight other sports-themed monsters? Or what about tennis ball robot origin story?
**Though I requested all 4 characters, I'm fine with you using "or" matching, and only including a subset.**

I'm the one who nominated this (see my promo post), and if you'd like to see it yourself, check out the full commercial here. I don't care about the people watching the TV, but the movie about Serena Williams smashing tennis ball robots into dust! What does a world look like where Serena Williams is Wonder Woman? Was she bitten by a radioactive tennis ball? Who is making these robots? Or did they just become sentient in some bizarre robot singularity event? Aliens? Is there a tennis ball robot queen?
I'd love backstory, as you can see, but also anything focused on the moment in the mall that we see. If action is your thing, an extended cut of the battle would be great. Or maybe this mall isn't the only place these robots are, and what we think is the boss bot is just a lieutenant? Does Serena have to go off and liberate more malls or museums or something next? H/C and cleanup after the battle?
Feel free to include other fusion heroes that make sense — maybe Venus as batgirl? Or a punny Venus Flytrap version of Poison Ivy? Maybe after his whites are ruined John McEnroe hulks out and helps her? Or Billie Jean King comes in and rescues him? They don't have to correspond to actual DC/Marvel heroes (or tennis RPF), either. Just, you know, whatever you think would fit into this world.
Mini Challenges:
2-For-1 Post: This fandom itself is already a crossover/fusion of sorts, and it seems ripe for further fusing. I'm not as familiar with Tennis RPF outside of the big names, but other athletes could certainly join in. Maybe this takes place in a universe where athletes took on superhero mantles to protect the masses with their insane physical prowesses? Maybe Misty May/Kerry Walsh are battling volleyball monsters next door? Also, any kind of superhero canon, no matter how big or obscure, could probably enhance this verse. Or something Terminator-y or Independence Day-y with the robot/alien uprising aspect.
Yulebuilding Post: As I think my prompts above have shown, I'd be thrilled with all kinds of worldbuilding for this fandom. :D

I'd love something in a sitcom-esque vein, with the trio dealing with life in the woods and the many penitents who come for magical solutions. What does the hot goth do with her time? Is she a writer? Does she make and sell stuff online? Is she independently wealthy? Perhaps a former princess who ran away because she couldn't stand wearing pink and being cheery and marrying a prince?
The fair maiden went to the right door, apparently, but how did she know? And how did she know about the hot goth to begin with? Was she one of the people who knocked on the wrong door before? Or is she from the nearby village? Some kind of seer with her own gift that led her here? I'm down for it all.
I love the himbo witch as gay, and would love to see the hot goth and maiden conspiring to set him up with someone. The trio living in a kind of Three's Company situation would be great too. I'm also down for OT3 here. H/C with any of the trio taking care of the others?

Once again, this is my nom, and you can see my promo post here. This is a tumblr post series with plenty of add ons, but the bulk of the idea can be seen in this grab. So, I love the upending of gender norms and trope expectations, where the hot goth lady in the woods isn't actually a witch, and a pretty boy himbo in gold can totally be a witch, thank you very much. Also the detail about his refusal to subvert will with love potions, and the confidence/pretty distinction? All good.
In addition to my prompts above, I'd love something set before the Fair Maiden's appearance, with the hot goth and the himbo witch being sitcom neighbors and getting up to zany adventures. Why did they both move to the woods? Are all these visitors from the nearby village (and why haven't they gotten a clue yet) or do they venture from far off lands where clearly the legend has been warped in the telling? When the Fair Maiden does come into the picture, how did she know about the Hot Goth? Does she actually know the Himbo Witch from somewhere else? Witch school or something? Did he totally set them up? BFFs Hot Goth and Himbo Witch or BFFs Fair Maiden and Himbo Witch are both awesome. Along those lines, feel free to include other fairy tale characters, or tropes turned on their heads in the shapes of characters.

2-For-1 Post: One of the other tumblr posts making the rounds this year perhaps? Maybe Chaotic Himbo from the Can't Eat Lava post could come looking for a spell to let them eat the lava, or at least tell them what it would be like? Do the marine biologists need anything magicked? Perhaps the Fair Maiden is a marine biologist? One of the chintz guys could be an option for matchmaking with the Himbo Witch?
Yulebuilding Post: As I think my prompts above have shown, I'd be thrilled with all kinds of worldbuilding for this fandom. :D
3 Turtle Doves: I'd love something 0T3 after the Maiden comes. Three's Company type shenanigans between their shared houses would be great. How does adding the Maiden to the mix shake up the usual line of people knocking on the Hot Goth's door? What happens now that the three are living in one/both houses? Are people even more confused at who answers the door this time? Anything involving witchcraft or seer-type powers or what have you would be lovely.

The big thing I want, which I realize is an ask, is to please fix the ending of Mastiff. Just, please fix Tunstall's whole… everything! Would having Clary around for that hunt have fixed things? Was there a point at which he could have been saved? Just, please help me erase that last scene with him from my mind. Sabine, Farmer, Gareth, and the others are welcome to come along if it makes sense. (Pounce and Achoo are always welcome.)
If you're not up for something so ambitious, I'd love something with Beka and co set between the first and second books: slice of life, night on the job, case fic, day off hijinks, what have you. The rogues and fellow Puppy gang are welcome here as well.
More Details:
I love Beka, and the world created around her. Her magic is so unique, and I feel like it could be used in so many awesome ways. That moment in Mastiff where she meets the Black God and we get confirmation that she's his? Shivers! I also love Beka's attitude towards life, and her relationship with both people like the Rogues and fellow Puppies, but also animals, like Pounce, Achoo, Slapper, etc. Her animal minions are always welcome in fic!
We get great hints about the kind of partners/Dogs Clary and Tunstall were, and we see them adapting to having a Puppy from Beka's POV, but what about theirs? What about some of those stories about them that have become legend? I'm a sucker for hurt/comfort, and casefic, which Beka's first few years as a Dog lend themselves to quite nicely. A slice of life fic where they're doing regular Dog work super competently (not off rescuing princes and such) would be lovely. I love competent people getting the job (whatever it is) done.
And yes, the elephant in the room: Mastiff. If you absolutely love the last third of this book, please don't read any further and just go back to my earlier prompts. That said, I just… I just really don't like the ending. It is such a waste of such a good character and like, it felt almost like Pierce wrote herself into a corner where she'd made the bad guy too good at stopping Beka's gang, and then the only way to fix that was to destroy Tunstall's character? Plus
Mini Challenges:
Crueltide Post: Canon-typical levels of violence, crime, death, etc are fine, especially in the context of a case. What with Beka being the chosen of the Black God, and her work with dead spirits, which I'd love to see explored, death, murder, and ghosts are a given. Tortall also has canon monsters/Lovecraftian horrors in the form of the Immortals, and it might be interesting to see one of them venture across the barrier from the Divine Realms early and interact with Beka and company. H/C is always welcome.
Yulebuilding Post: I'd be thrilled with all kinds of worldbuilding regarding the Black God's realm, Beka's magic, pigeons, and dustspinners.

The way he goes "Graaaaaace". This thing is cracktastic, and I'd love anything expanding on it. Bear Terminator pov? Grace's adventures on Mars? Bear Terminators vs Moon Goblins? Go wild! Josh levels of wild, even.

**Preemptive content warning**: Unethical Zoo is part of a series where Josh plays Planet Zoo. His usual schtick is to play games as wrong and bad as possible for maximum hilarity, and for his Planet Zoo vids that includes cartoon
Josh really went all out on this one: in addition to making a zoo, he came up with a full apocalyptic plot with multiple locations. You can see him heading in that direction with Pawshank and the suburbs, but this one is really out there. Feel free to ignore the bottled tears and plinko daycare stuff (from about 5:45-9:35) that doesn't really pertain to the story of the Bear Terminators and Commander Grace. But feel free to include stuff from his other videos — Maybe the animal suburbs are a thing here? Or the giraffe hydra makes it to the moon? Or the Pawshank guards try to stop the Bear Terminators? Also feel free to include Josh the narrator or not, whatever fits your style.
Now for some prompts! I love the idea of someone going to a zoo where these bear statues are all there — one secretly breathing — and suddenly coming to life. Maybe the POV of a patron or other employee? Again, feel free to go full Bear Terminator pov and full apocalypse. We know that one followed them to the moon, but the rest are still here on Earth, right?
When they're on the moon, maybe the giraffes survive, and Grace sets up a thriving zoo for the Moon Goblins before the bear escapes. Grace escapes to Mars — are there Mars Ogres or something? Does she just end up having a really chill existence up there? Maybe befriends a rover or two and makes a rover zoo for them?
Mini Challenges:
Crueltide Post: Feel free to go full Josh on this world, so yes, Crueltide ok. Any kind of apocalyptic or dystopian plot would fit right in here, and the accompanying mayhem, violence, murder and death. If you want to go full Lovecraftian eldritch monster with either the Terminator Bears or Moon Goblins, go for it! If you want to give Grace or another survivor paranoia, PTSD, or insanity, I'm here for it! H/C, light on the C would be fab.

Request Fandom 5: Are You Being Served?
Wilberforce Claybourne Humphries

I only selected Mr. Humphries, but any of the others are welcome to come out and play as well. However, Mr. Humphries holds such a special place in my heart. I love his outrageous costumes and excuses for them. I love the way he practically sings "I'm free" and then deepens his voice to say "Menswear." I love how campy he is and the expressions he gives the camera when he breaks the fourth wall.
I'd love something set in the store, like a typical episode. Typical slapstick and shenanigans are quite welcome. I've worked in customer service, and love the little nods that the show gave to what it was actually like to have that job. Feel free to have Mr. Humphries or the others have to deal with whatever customer service nightmare you care to throw at them. Or let's see one of his hijinks that lead to him showing up to work in a crazy outfit and having to explain to Mr. Lucas what happened. Go nuts! :D
More Details:
I grew up watching this show; it was one of my first British comedies and started me on the path that led to Fawlty Towers, Fry and Laurie, and Monty Python for starters. Thus, it holds a very special place in my heart. And Mr. Humphries holds the specialest place.
I'd love something like an episode, with the hijinks and shenanigans that they get up to. The occasional episodes where they have to stay in the store for some reason are fun for the way they blend private life and work, but I also love the ones where they've got to plan some outrageous display or show or what have you. Forcing them to stay late with gratuitous references to Mrs. Slocumb's pussy are welcome. ;)
Or, like I said, what Mr. Humphries gets up to in his off hours. Of course, one of the great things about this character is how he can just be casually working while telling Mr. Lucas or the others about his night/weekend, and the insane things that happened. Pick a crazy outfit and figure out how to get him into it! (And of course who was trying to get him out of it. ;) ). Feel free to go as tropey and campy as you'd like with the gay shenanigans.
Alternatively, someday I hope he gets to settle down with a nice man who will come bring him his lunch with quick peck, and who will be waiting to take him home in the evenings, and that kind of domestic fluff would be lovely. Mild H/C would be great: maybe Mr. Humphries got sick walking home from the store during another transportation strike? Or slogging through the snow? Perhaps something like a 5 times fic of moments the others met his guy? Or, true to canon's style, he comes looking for Mr. Humphries and the others misunderstand things and Miss Slocomb swoons over him and maybe he calls Mr. Humphries some pet version of one of his names so no one knows who he's talking about?
Mini Challenges:
2-For-1 Post: I think this show has a lot of potential for crossovers with similar British comedy shows. I mean, Fawlty has to get his suits somewhere, right? Perhaps one of the Fry or Laurie characters could pop into Grace Brothers, or Mr. Humphries could be interviewed for one of their 'man on the street' bits? The Mr. Dalliard skit seems the obvious choice — maybe they come in to apply for a job at Grace Brothers? Tony and Control are always good for a laugh too.

I love snarky, sassy Hades in this movie. His attitude, his mood swings, his plotting, his understandable dislike of his idiot brother, etc. All wonderful. I'd love to see him pre- or post- movie. Maybe this Hades's version of some other Hades story from the mythology.
More Details:
I've always been a fan of Greek mythology, and Hades so often seems to be shafted by it. Like, he is assigned to the underworld, with no option to refuse. He is told that he can have Persephone for a bride by her father Zeus, which at the time was pretty common practice, but then he's attacked for it by Demeter, and Zeus is like "who me?" like he wasn't involved. Just, repeatedly shafted.
And the Disney Hades portrays some of that attitude in his reactions to Zeus and the others. ("Which you so charitably bestowed upon me, Zeus.") I love his snark and sarcasm as well; he's so relatable! Feel free to fill in a missing moment from those 18 years while Herc was growing up, or otherwise a pre-/post- movie check in with this lovable baddy.**
**I never saw the TV show, so I won't understand specific references to it.
Or, like I said, taking any story from the actual mythology and showing it from the POV of this Hades would be brilliant! We get a tiny glimpse of Persephone at Herc's birthday party, but no mention of her with Hades in this movie. We get all the flirty banter with Megara, and all those hints about him recruiting beings to help him with his uprising. Maybe more of that storyline?
Mini Challenges:
Crueltide Post: With Hades being the God of the dead, feel free to play with all kinds of character death/war/violence tropes. He's trying to literally free monsters to bring about the apocalypse — maybe an AU where Pain and Panic didn't screw up so he wins? Dub-con with Persephone is fine, though please don't go all the way to non-con. Dubby stuff with Megara regarding him owing her soul and bending her to his will and sending her out to seduce people is great, but please don't take it all the way to non-con sex.
